TAG Heuer Women's WJF1354.BB0581 Link Two-tone Quartz Watch

TAG Heuer traces its roots to the small Swiss village of St-Imier where, in 1860, a watchmaker named Edouard Heuer opened his first shop. His vision was to create remarkable timepieces that pushed the envelope of innovation and precision. The company's reputation grew, and Heuer's first patent for a chronograph mechanism in 1882 was followed by a long list of achievements: the first stopwatch accurate to 1/100 of a second, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars, the first miniature electronic timekeeping device accurate to 1/1000th of a second, and the first automatic movement with a microrotor, to name just a few.

Over the years, Heuer's reputation for gold-standard precision earned the company the privilege of providing official timing services for a number of world-class competitive sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the FIS Ski World Cup, and the FIA Formula 1 World Championships. To this day, TAG Heuer maintains a close association with the world of competitive sports and enjoys a devoted following among sports celebrities and enthusiasts. In 1985, Heuer joined the TAG (Techniques D'Avant-Garde) group, and the TAG Heuer name and logo were created. Now one of the most recognized and sought-after watch brands in the world, TAG Heuer continues its reputation of innovative design and technological excellence, creating prestigious timepieces that are always at the cutting edge of precision, reliability and style.

I never write reviews about anything I buy, but I felt that I needed to because this watch has had zero reviews written on it but is an awesome watch! The watch is EXTREMELY lightweight and classy due to it not having any of those "bright colors" that the rest of the Colormark series seem to have. The blue tritium is a little dimmer than the green stuff but overall still very visible in "low light" conditions. The strap is very comfortable for being made out of rubber. The vertical tritium vial on the bezel is visible and I only note this because some have stated that the Colormark series seem to have been lacking in that department. The only downside is that the second hand does not sweep directly onto the second marker. This may or may not be a huge "turn off" for most people but I have never owned a watch that had the second hand come close to the second marker on its sweep. However, this watch actually does come the closest to having the second hand "sweep correctly." All in all, this is a great watch that will be my "kickaround" watch from now on...I hope this helps in your decision making...

This is by far the best watch I ever bought. I had a swiss army summit xlt for years and replaced it with the same watch because I loved it so much. The only time you would ever see me not wearing that watch would be walking through metal detectors at air ports. I like watches that have a tactical look to them. Big watches or watches with a ton of bling aren't my style. When I would wake up in the mornings before my alarm clock sounded, I would have to hold my wrist inches away from my face to see if I had to get up for work. The markers around this piece aren't green paint that has to "charge" in the light. They're tiny tubes filled with a radioactive gas that luminates 24/7 with or without light. The blue markers look so sick and the orange 12 indicator is just as sharp. Supposedly the gas will emit the light for up to 25 years. The watch is made from carbon which seems to be very strong and is definitely very light. This might be hard to picture, but there are two little flares on the waistband that keep the two bands that hold down the excess strap in place so they don't slide up and let the excess band stick out. You can't really see the numbers on the face of the watch since its blackest out, but the markers around the face as well as the ones on the hour, minute, and second hand are white in daylight and are very visible against the contrast of the black face. The strap is a silky plastic that feels great against my wrist. Plastic is so much better than leather or fabric because it won't stink or decay after a while. If you're looking for a watch that looks tactical, this watch is for you. I would recommend this watch to any of my buddies.

Purchased this watch in Denver on a business trip. I absolutely love it. I had done some research before and knew this was the watch I wanted. Hard to find, so decided to pick it up when they had one in stock. Thoughts:

1. Lightweight - I do not even notice it on my wrist which is particularly important for me.
2. Bright - The radioactive display markers are very bright at night, no problem at all telling the time.
3. Beauty - I think it looks better in person, than online. One look at this in the store and I was hooked.
4. Comfort - I almost bought the NATO band which is canvas and fairly nice looking as I have had problems with sweating using rubber bands in the past. No problem with this watch. I do wear it a little loose - that coupled with the low weight makes a nice sweat free wrist. Pleasantly surprised.

Overall, very happy with this watch. If you are on the edge, don't worry buy it - don't think you will be disappointed.

Timex Women's T5K026 Ironman Sleek Digital Resin Strap Watch

This is the second time I buy this watch. My first one lasted 4+ years. I can do the dishes, shower, swim while wearing it and it does not get damaged. It's very easy to program - very idiot proof. I also love the fact that it helps me with my running intervals so that I can run injury free using the Jeff Galloway method. That indiglo feature is very convenient to check the time when it's dark and the cell phone is out of reach. Oh, did I mention that it's so comfortable I wear it 24/7?

I love the way the watch looks, and it works great, but the color is already wearing off the start/split button and the clear part of the face is scratched. Not a big deal to me, but might be to someone else!

UPDATE March 13, 2010: After 4 months, the face is starting to pull away from the band, leaving a gap where they used to connect at the top & bottom. It still seems firmly seated, but looks like it's falling apart, and I don't know how long it will last at this point. I'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 3.

UPDATE February 3, 2011: It hasn't fallen apart yet! I still wear the watch daily, but it's still got those gaps at the top and bottom of where the face connects to the band.

UPDATE April 1, 2011: Not even 18 months and the band disintegrated overnight. It literally broke apart in two different places while I was sleeping. The watch itself is still functioning, but since you can't just slap a new band on there I tossed it. I won't be buying another, and I'm downgrading my rating again. While I do wear my watches 24/7, with the exception of water activities, I still expect them to last at least a few years.

This watch is great looking, but unfortunately you can't swim with it. It claims it's water resistant to 300 feet, but after one lap in the pool, water had collected under the face of the watch. Amazon was terrific about returning it though.

Timex Women's T5K026 Ironman Sleek Digital Resin Strap Watch

Timex

The Timex Watch Company

Timex Group B.V. is one of the best-known American watch companies. Timex's U.S. headquarters are located in Middlebury Connecticut and it has substantial operations in China, the Philippines and India and full scale sales companies in Canada, the UK, France and Mexico.

The company began in 1854 as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley, known during the nineteenth century as the "Switzerland of America." Sister company Waterbury Watch manufactured the first inexpensive mechanical pocket watch in 1880. During World War I, Waterbury began making wristwatches, which had only just become popular, and in 1933 it made history by creating the first Mickey Mouse clock under license from Walt Disney, with Mickey's hands pointing the time.

During World War II, Waterbury renamed itself U.S. Time Company. In 1950 the company introduced a wristwatch called the Timex. Over the next three decades, Timex was sold through a series of advertisements which emphasized its durability by putting the watch through "torture tests," such as falling over the Grand Coulee Dam or being strapped to the propeller of an outboard motor, with the slogan "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking." With the help of former Olympic broadcaster, spokesman John Cameron Swayze, sales took off. The company later became Timex Corporation, then Timex Group and, to date, has sold over one billion watches.

The company has remained very competitive and the Timex brand continues its dominance through present day. Its primary market remains the United States and Canada, although the Timex brand is sold worldwide due to its ability to capitalize on its strong brand image and reputation for quality.

One of the most successful and important features available on many Timex watches is the Indiglo backlight system. Indiglo is a brand name of Indiglo Corporation, solely owned by Timex for licensing purposes. Timex electroluminescent lamps, branded Indiglo, were introduced in 1992 in the Ironman watch line. They were an immediate success. The Indiglo® lamp uniformly lights the surface of the Timex’s watch dials in a manner that makes the dial read very easily in many different light settings. In some newer watches the Indiglo backlight only lights up the numbers, rather than the entire LCD display, which is achieved by means of a specialized film that inverts the LCD transmissivity.

Today, Timex Group products are manufactured in the Far East and in Switzerland often based on technology that continues to be developed in the United States and in Germany. With a large and varied line of watches, Timex has the style for everyone. From the locker room to the board room, there is a great Timex style time-piece for you.

    Skagen Men's 233XLTTN Titanium Watch

Shopping for a new watch has been very frustrating. Every watch out there seems to be way too thick, exactly the thing I detest, especially when wearing a long sleeve shirt. I've been looking for a watch in the $100 range, that would be just as thin as my Gucci. No luck. Then I stumbled upon Skagen while shopping for watches. It was the jeweler who was wearing one, and the wonderful deep blue face with the titanium shell is what grabbed my eye at first. Then it was the band, unlike any other metal band I've seen before. A trip to Amazon, with a great price and free shipping, and my search was over.

I have NEVER owned a watch with a metal band before in my life, and I'm in my 40's. They never felt secure to me, and besides, I've always heard about getting your hairs caught. Leather bands have their drawbacks as well, but this band by Skagen appears to be the best of all worlds. The beautifully sublime titanium toned band is secure and attractive, and for those who think the clasp is too "complex" I'm sorry but obviously you have never encountered European engineering at it's best.

Finally, I needed a watch that I could synchronize to the second, so I opted for this style which is $5 less than the model without the second hand and the date function from amazing Amazon. The only thing I wish that was different on this watch was that it would have Roman numerals on the face. But this is so minor, that I still rate this elegant and quality watch with a resounding 5 *****

Edit: May 2009 It's now 2 1/2 years since I've been wearing this watch on a daily basis. The watch is still an extremely accurate timepiece, and it still looks as good as the day I bought it! Who could ask for more?

I haven't worn a watch in years. I wanted to purchase something to go with my business casual dress that would not be too overpowering and still be nice. I had been eyeing this watch for awhile and finally decided to splurge.

The watch seemed to be a bit too flashy for me when wearing blue jeans and t shirts, but that ok with me. The latch seemed to be a little bit tricky at first. Once I read the users manual and figured out how to use it I was ok.

The reason for writing this article was for its durability. I took it on vacation but didn't want to wear it through security checkpoints. I decided I would stick it in a sock and just check the bag. Once I did this and got home I decided I would wash all of my laundry. Of course I forgot and left the watch in the sock. It goes through the washer and dryer, comes out still ticking. No scratches or anything. I'm impressed!

This is a very attractive watch - much nicer than the picture depicts. It has a deep blue sunburst dial (much like another Skagen shown on Amazon). It is very slender and the band is a standard double latch design. The band is very easy to adjust(takes a couple of minutes at most).

Besides being accurate (as expected) it has a lot of detail in the dial, (e.g. chrome around the date window) and is easy to view in all lighting situations. But it does not have a light. The large face and numbers on the dial make viewing very easy. Highly recommended!

This watch caught my eye immediately while I was looking on line for a watch. I have received so many compliments on this watch. It goes with everything. Even when I wear silver, I am able to incorporate it into my outfit.

My wife loved the Michael Kors watch.
    I recommend as a gift to girlfriends/wife. ;-)

    Alex

I love my watch. When I first received it was too tight and I wasn't sure if I cared for the style and I was going to exchange it, but when I sent back to Savvy watch they could not accept the watch back because I wore it for a while and there were minor scratches. Since I could not exchange, Savvy Watch wanted to make sure that I was happy with my purchase so they ordered additional links for me and added them to the watch with no charge. Since I received the watch back I love it and get many compliments on it. Could not be happier now with my purchase.

TAG Heuer Men's CV2A11.BA0796 Carrera Automatic Chronograph Watch

I've had the watch three months. Time is excellent, within 1 min of my original setting when I set it. Looks, stunning. Well worth the money.

This is my first premium or luxury watch. I have had Tissots in the past but this was my first entrance into a watch that retails close to 2 grand. I must say this is now a prize possession of mine. It looks great with a suit, which I wear at least 3 times a week for work, but it also looks incredible with a tee-shirt and jeans. I have gotten tons of compliments on it. It is not as flashy as some Tags which I like. It resembles a Rolex Oyster Perpetual pretty closely from a distance, and has been mistaken for such several times, yet its a fraction of the cost. I love this watch and cant say enough positive things about it. I have had the watch about 4 months and from what I can tell it loses maybe a minute per month.

I would highly recommend this watch, it is officially my "gateway drug" into the abyss that is watch collecting.

I bought this for my husband as a wedding gift and he LOVES it! Price is so much better than in the stores.

    Suunto Elementum Terra Altimeter Watch

Great watch by Suunto, they kept this watch simple without cutting on the Suunto tradition. The modes are easy to go trought with the jog dial and the watch will change mode (ie Altimeter-Barometer) automatically unlike the other Suunto Model. The negative face take a bit to get use to and is sometimes hard to read. The night light is excellent and the rubber band is very confortable ( very soft rubber), no 2nd time zone.

I had an Observer for ten years, it got me through two Leadvilles but it is scratched badly. So I decided on the Elementum Steel.
First thing out of the box that is quite obvious; this watch is bomb proof, solid, and a bit heavy (steel is real) but I got used to it quickly. Slightly larger than my Observer. Skinny wrists had to take off 5 links, but it feels right.
Other reviews say it has a second time zone, it doesn't, if I have to check the time in the Himalayas I use my I Pod Touch. Also some reviews said it has seconds, it doesn't but the stop watch works well for counting.
Other reviews say it is dim, it is dimmer than my Observer but not by much, and yes you can increase the contrast which helps but contrast isn't brightness. Still, after a while wearing it I found it to be fine. The back light works great.
I use it for biking, hiking, backpacking, and some mountaineering.
The buttons took me a day to get used to them. The compass is simple just one button. I found the best way to calibrate the compass is this: put it in calibration mode, it will say Level and Level will blink if it isn't level. This is hard to do if you try rotating the watch. So get it level and just turn yourself while holding the watch. Simple and works.
It is large but it's a beauty, quality, design, construction all add up and this one has it. And for me not made in China is a big deal, what they are doing to Tibet is nothing short of genocide.
It is expensive, I got the steel so I can swim with it. My Observer is still going after ten years and lots of abuse, I expect this one will last longer, for me it was worth it.
I will take off 1/2 a star because of the dimness, otherwise it's a high quality durable piece that I can wear anywhere.

Got this watch as a replacement for a Suunto Observer, which had started to fail after almost ten years of regular use. Considered the Suunto Core, but wasn't convinced it would last long. The Elementum, like the Observer, is made in Finland, and feels like it's built to higher standards.

Planned to get the leather strap at first, because I had to replace the rubber strap on the Observer several times. But the leather strap looked cheap, and the rubber strap on the Elementum is made from a different, softer material, so I decided to give it a try. We'll see how long it lasts.

The Elementum has the same basic functions as the Observer: date and time, alarm, stopwatch, compass, altimeter/barometer, and trip log. However, it only has one time zone, doesn't show seconds (except in setup mode), and doesn't let you adjust the declination for the compass.

The altimeter/barometer mode selection is automatic, based on the rate of change. This is convenient, but a consequence of this is that the watch often misses some elevation gain when hiking, while also ending up with wildly inaccurate numbers after a few days in town without calibration.

The Elementum has just 3 buttons, one of which can be used as a dial. Access to all functions is quick, though not always intuitive. For example, you twist the dial up to enter stopwatch mode, and down to view log entries. I like using the dial to adjust the altimeter, unless I'm wearing gloves.

The dark face is too hard to read, even more so than the dark face on the Observer. I found a hidden setting to increase the contrast, which helps a bit. Hope that won't reduce the battery life too much, especially since you can't replace the battery on your own.

The watch has been accurate so far, losing no more than 5 seconds during the past month.

Polar FT7M Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Hey folks, I just wanted to add a bit of information based on some comments I've read on other Polar devices: The FT4, based on my tests, IS water-resistant and should work great to help you track your stats as you swim laps. I'll update this once I've used it for a few more lap swims, but both the heart monitor you wear on your chest and the watch itself are sealed and won't immediately flood and ruin if you take it into the pool. Only thing is, you probably don't want to be pressing the buttons on the watch while you're under water, which may mean you have to stop and dry off if you want to take a break in the middle of your lap swim.

Update: I have now used my FT4 several times to track my lap swimming. It works great! Don't press the buttons while you're actually underwater, but I have had no trouble at all with the 'pause' or 'continue' functions at the end of the lap, even with wet fingers. Oh, and - you don't have to wet the chest band before you put it on if you're going to swim in it ;)

I have the same beef as others about the FT4 - you can't see all your workout stats at once while you work out - you have to press the bottom right-hand button to change the display to heart rate vs. calories vs. workout time or what have you, and you can't see your time while you're working out (you can once you're finished and you click STOP to end the workout session...at this point you also get your upper and average heart rates and your time in the zone. You can also hit 'Pause' to see your workout time.) Basically, this little gizmo does what it's designed to do. It does make a unique double-beep when you're in your heart rate zone, which I find helpful.

A couple other details: the FT4 has a user-serviceable battery (some other Polar models don't, which means you have to pay $$ and ship the device to Polar to change the battery.) The chest band is fabric, as opposed to the stiff plastic of other Polar models, also. You can buy software to download the information off your Polar, but the software is $80 and you need an infrared reader for your computer. I haven't really explored this, as I use the [...] website to track my info and I just copy it straight off the Polar without downloading.

My one complaint is the difference in calorie burn between the FT4, my Garmin Forerunner and my GoWearFit...who knows how many I'm actually burning...but I do have a little bit of a formula I can use to convert from one to the next...

Overall, I'd say this device is well worth the money, especially if you're just doing casual exercise without the need for a GPS or an all-day calorie tracker. I'll probably buy another one should the one I bought break or wear out.

I'm new to heart rate monitors, so I had a lot of searching to do to figure out what I needed from one before I placed my order. I soon found that the Polar brand was the one to get, but they have hundreds of models, ranging from affordable to incredible. I know some will say this model doesn't have it all, but if you're looking for something to keep you informed of your progress in your exercise routine, this is really all you need. Tracking up to 10 sessions worth of data, but also keeping a running total, the watch can tell you how long you worked out, your average heart rate, maximum reached, and time in the zone, and from that, how many calories you burned. It beeps softly at you every 5 seconds or so when you're under the zone, and also tells you when you've exceeded your maximum. The display is really easy to read, even in the middle of vigorous training session. The watch in comfortable and easy to clean, as is the chest strap, which is fully adjustable. I have no complaints at all, and for the price, I'm extremely pleased. I only wish there was a way to download the training files from the watch to my computer, but a spreadsheet also works just fine.

I have spent months looking for a heart rate monitor that would fit me comfortably, but still be pretty. This is it! I've decided to finally get off my big butt and start doing something healthy - walking or biking every day - but I wanted to be able to keep track of the time AND make sure I was working at the right heart rate. As someone who is really out of shape, I find that I might feel like I am really working hard, but my heart rate ends up being at the very low end, so I needed something that I could use to be sure my workouts are actually worth it.

This watch is very accurate and stylish. I also like that it tracks my calories burned and my previous workouts so I can see if I am getting healthier. I was worried that it wouldn't fit my wrist because it is a women's watch and they tend to run small, but this fits my 7 3/4" wrist with a little room to spare. The chest strap also fits and is super comfy! I am almost 300lbs (at the time of purchase) and the M/XXL strap that comes with this fit me just fine - again with room to spare. I don't even feel it once I get it on and start moving.

So, for you bigger girls out there who are looking for a rate monitor that will fit, be accurate and comfortable AND is pretty - get this one!

Tissot Men’s T0134204620700 T-Touch Expert Black Carbon Fiber Dial Watch Reviews

I am very glad I bought this watch, I hesitated because of the numerous complains about the touch (1st generations) problems on the internet, but this watch is the 4th generation I guess and from what I read all those problems are now solved.
Besides I have a coworker who has had the touch for 7 years now and he gave me the last reason just to buy this wonderful watch… the watch is awesome, it has so many features and it is so cool, that many people is just playing and giving the watch numerous inputs so the watch goes nuts.
I received the watch in a gorgeous box with numerous accessories like a nice soft bag to keep the watch in your desk while I work in the back yard, a book with the history of TISSOT, user’s manual, catalogue, warranty etc etc, it came nicely packed with airbags inside and double box from AMAZON.
The watch is smaller than the CASIO protrek 80T, it has basically the same functions, but it has some I like better for a PILOT like me.
1 first I have to wake up really early in the mornings so with the Casio I had to turn on the backlight, with my tissot has fluorescent minute and hour hands and markings.
2 I can have the local time (with hands) and the ZULU or GMT on the LCD display, A must HAVE for pilots.
3the temperature setting is very interesting, while with the Casio I had to adjust my body temperature to the watch, he just calculated temperature differences from the pre set temperature, with my tissot there is no adjustments to make and it also shows the temperature plus my body temperature increment, but once I remove my TISSOT for about 15 to 20 minutes (while I shave or bath) it shows me the real temperature like a mercury thermometer.
3 the red back light is gorgeous
4 azimuth and compass with the possibility to adjust the magnetic declination… NICE!
    5 a precise altimeter
6 I checked numerous times the progress of my watch compared with a GPS and online US official time and it keeps steady while CASIO misses the official time for about 2 seconds every 3 days.
7 gorgeous strap and safety lock

    DOWNFALLS
-easy to scratch the titanium box, not a 4×4 like the Casio.
-not a pressure reading in HG (inches of mercury), as in US and Latin America many countries still use HG for aviation.

everything else is the perfect watch for a pilot, right now I wouldn’t buy a Rolex, so pricey jut to read the time, but I would keep my Casio just for the back yard working or things like that.

Invicta Men’s 1906 Specialty Collection Swiss Quartz Watch

Okay, something is terribly wrong. I read the other review about a “lemon pledge” smell. My package contents, watch box, and watch all have a terrible smell. Think “bubble gum”, then turn up the volume to eleven.

This is not normal. Clearly something has happened to this stock (mold, maybe?), and someone has tried to fix it by bathing it in some industrial cleaner or AirWick or something like that. I have bought Invicta watches in the past — in fact I have two others of this exact same watch box. They did not smell at all. It’s not the plastic strap — can’t be unless it’s made of Febreze!

I guess that’s the reason for the sale price!

We typically get unscented dryer sheets, cat litter, etc, and this is exactly the kind of smell we are trying to avoid when we do, but much, much worse.

I am taking this out to the garage while I try to decide what to do with it.

The watch looks good (on a big wrist), is very readable and has no date (a plus for me). Unfortunately, the lemon pledge smell is there and in a really strong way. Think of very bad cologne. It is due to the rubber — a cheap type? The watch may be hot in the summer given its size and the thick rubber.

The price is very good for what you get and it does not look cheap — so two stars (down form three) — the smell seems permanent. Really quite strange.

I’ve worn a lot of watches and never experienced this strange phenomenon. Indeed, my significant other got a headache form the smell! I guess one just has to laugh!

P.S. The 24mm strap, probably only available from Invicta due to its size and shape, costs AS MUCH as this watch to replace (It will break sooner or later). And will smell of lemon pledge (I called — it’s “normal” for this watch; they said wash with soap — it did not help). So, if you buy and the smell becomes less with time, don’t wear it too tightly to get more use out of the strap before needing a new one.

R you looking for Invicta Men’s 5509 Subaqua Sport Blue Ion-Plated Chronograph Watch?

I just received this watch today. This is my second Invicta watch purchased at Amazon and so far I have not had any problems. They both work perfectly and are an absolute joy to look at. This watch is large and I have to admit I was a little startled when I first saw it. However, once I put it on my wrist and fastened it down I quickly got used to it. It has alot of heft for a watch but you do get used to it though so don’t let that stop you. In my opinion this watch is more handsome than the model 5508 which is all black. It is well built and it seems like it could take punishment that would ruin lesser time pieces. I think that is the allure of it. This watch looks and feels positively rugged! Let me say that my wrist is a little under 8 inches in circumference and you would think someone with a wrist this small should not be wearing this kind of a watch. You would be wrong however. After a couple of hours of it on your arm is just feels right. If you want a watch that is rugged, can be used for diving (I am not a diver but I do some fishing and am around the water alot) then go for it. You won’t be disappointed. Just make sure you don’t pay the $2k msrp. That number is unrealistic. At under $300 though it is a bargain.

Tissot Men’s T52142113 T-Classic Desire Leather Watch Reviews

I bought this Tissot to fill a need for a “classic” dress watch lacking in my collection. It certainly fits the bill according to my definition: it’s small, thin, has a black strap, simple dial, Roman numerals. Overall, very elegant and unassuming. Like another reviewer has stated, the styling is somewhat reminescent of the iconic Patek Philippe Calavatra, a $20,000+ watch. The watch is so far extremely accurate (it is dead on after a week, determined by setting the watch and referring back to http://www.time.gov). The case looks nicely finished. The packaging is very impressive: thick heavy box, hidden compartments, couple of small Tissot books.

A few complaints… The second-hand is noticably out of alignment with the indices on the dial; an annoying “defect” that is unfortunately common with quartz watches. I also don’t like the plasticky look and feel of the faux crocodile strap. I’ve owned genuine croc straps before, so I know how they look and feel. The strap is also a little too thick and beefy for such a thin low profile watch. Also, the buckle has the “TISSOT” logo printed on it, which makes it look cheap. It would be more elegant if the logo was embossed. I wound up removing the logo with a Q-tip dipped in acetone (i.e. nail polish remover); wipes right off. Nonetheless, I replaced the cheap strap with a thin, black genuine lizard skin strap ($30) with no stitching. The watch now looks even more classy and elegant and is more comfortable to wear as well.

Nonetheless, I still recommend this watch despite these shortcomings. It is a relatively good value for a Swiss-made dress watch. A poor-man’s Patek.

i really love this watch. it seems perfect to me. the only concern i have is if it makes noise.. ive had some cheap quartz watches and most of them tick like crazy. i cant stand that. could you let me know if this one ticks? and makes noise? would really apreciate it :)

    (+)Skagen Men’s 233XLTMB Titanium Watch

Being somewhat picky and not much of a watch enthusiast, I did a bit of research to try and find a nice looking watch that ultimately didn’t at all feel like I was wearing a watch. I visited several Jewelers as well as a handful of watch shops when I stumbled accross this Skagen watch. I was immediately struck by the beauty of the black titanium as well as how thin the watch and band were.

A little more research lead to my recent purchase of this beautiful watch. So far I’m in love with it! The luminous hands and numbers leave a little to be desired as they need to be exposed to a bright light before being visible in the dark (and if you have a bright light, why would you even need luminous hands?). Regardless, the bright numbers and hands are fairly easy to see even in low light due to the way they catch the available light on their own.

This watch is sleek, light weight and comfortable. I’m a very satisfied customer.

The watch is extremely thin and sleek. I have gotten quite a few compliments on this watch, and I think it goes well with about anything. The clasp is very effective as it has a hook, a clasp, and a safety clasp to keep it attached. The clasp is also very simple to use once you figure it out (which took me about three minutes). The numbers are large and easy to read (which wasn’t really a concern for me but it is still nice). Overall I am extremely pleased with this very light and inexpensive yet good looking watch.

Update: While this is an excellent watch, it is not very durable. I only wear it for the daily activities of a college student and am pretty careful not to bang it on things. However, about 6 months after I bought it I started noticing some minor scratches, and within a year it had a major crack in the face crystal. Also after about a year I had problems with the band, which eventually broke apart. I still love this watch and I would like to buy another one, but the lack of durability makes it a bad value for me.
